According to a statement released by the FTC in December of 2022, there are three conditions players have to meet these three conditions to refund Fortnite Account.

Eligibility Guidelines for FTC Refund in Fortnite

• Parents whose children made an unauthorized credit card purchase in the Epic Games Store between January 2017 and November 2018.

• Fortnite players who were charged in-game currency i.e. V-Bucks for unwanted in-game items such as cosmetics, llamas, or battle passes between January 2017 and September 2022.

• Fortnite players whose accounts were locked between January 2017 and September 2022 after disputing unauthorized charges with their credit card companies.

Things To Consider When Refunding Your Fortnite Account

The refund policy– Epic Games has a refund policy, make sure your refund request comes under the policy.

The time limit– You can request a refund within 30 days of the purchase.

The availability of return tickets– In Fortnite, each account is given three return tickets that can be used to refund purchases. If your all return tickets are already used, then you have to contact Epic Games Support to request a refund.

How to Refund Fortnite Account if you are eligible for FTC refund

If you meet the above criteria, you can file a claim for a refund at the official website of FTC. But the deadline for the claim file is over.

FTC will review your refund request and will send their response within 60 days. Once your claim is approved you will receive the refund amount back to your original payment method within 60 days.

How Do I Refund Fortnite Account if you are not eligible for FTC refund?

If you are not eligible to get FTC refund and you want to refund a specific item you don’t like or you purchased it by mistake. You can follow the steps below.

1. Go to Settings

2. Select Support & Refunds.

3. Click on Return or cancel purchase.

4. Now you will be asked to select the item you want to refund. Select the item which you want to refund.

5. Click the Use return ticket directive.

6. Now you can see the selected items for refund. click Yes and verify it.

7. You will be asked to verify again. Once again select Yes.

8. Now the selected item will be removed and refunded V-Bucks will be added to your in-game wallet.
