Get ready for Slime Time in Pokémon GO with the June 2024 Community Day, featuring Goomy! On June 9, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, the Dragon-type Pokémon from the Kalos region will appear more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Goomy!
Make the most of this event with special bonuses:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon
- 2× the chance for Trainers level 31 and above to receive Candy XL for catching Pokémon
Additionally, Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours during the event. Trainers can make an extra Special Trade for a total of two, and all trades will require 50% less Stardust.
To maximize your catches, evolve Sliggoo—Goomy’s Evolution—during the event or up to five hours afterward to obtain a Goodra that knows the Electric-type Charged Attack Thunder Punch. Remember, to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra, the weather must be rainy, or you need to be near a PokéStop with a Rainy Lure Module.
Immerse yourself in the gooey fun with the Goomy Community Day Special Research story, available for US$1.00 (or the equivalent in your local currency). Purchase a ticket through the in-game shop or gift one to Trainers with whom you’ve reached the Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
Complete event-themed Field Research tasks to earn rewards such as Stardust, Great Balls, additional encounters with Goomy, and more. You can also obtain a Rainy Lure Module by completing Timed Research between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time.

Extend your Community Day excitement with four-star Raid Battles featuring Sliggoo from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. After a victorious Raid Battle, Goomy will spawn around the raid Gym for the next 30 minutes. Please note, these four-star raids are exclusive to in-person participation and cannot be accessed using Remote Raid Passes. You can only join these battles with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Enjoy the challenge and the chance to encounter more Goomy!
