What is Pokémon GO December 2023 Community Day
In December, Pokémon featured in Community Days from January to November make a comeback in a two-day event, offering increased spawns, Raids, and egg hatches. Additionally, Niantic introduced Community Day Classic in January 2022, resembling 2018-style events with extra bonuses.

- Standard Community Day hours: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time
- Raid Battle sub-event: A new five-hour Raid Battle sub-event, except for the year-end Community Day.

- Saturday, December 16th, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time
- Sunday, December 17th, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time
- Extended Hours: From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time on both days, specific Community Day bonuses and Pokémon spawns will be active.

For December 2023’s Community Day, there won’t be any Four-Star Raids. Instead, One-Star Raids featuring Pokémon from 2022 Community Day events will be available.

Exclusive Attacks
All featured attacks from 2023 and 2022 Community Day events will be available during the two-day December 2023 Community Day event. Ursaluna’s Charged Attack will only be available during select hours.
Event Bonuses
December 2023’s Community Day comes with various bonuses, including:
- 2× XP and Stardust for catching Pokémon
- 1/2 Hatch Distance for Incubators
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy
- Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
- Trades made will require 50% less Stardust (active from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time)
- One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two for the day (active from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time)
Special Research Story
The Community Day Special Research Story is called December Community Day 2023. It is a paid-for quest with a cost of $0.99 USD or the equivalent in local currency. A complete list of tasks and rewards for this Special Research Story will be added once the event is live.
