On the Ground: Like any other weapon the Mammoth Pistol, also can be found on the ground. It is more likely to spawn in regions with high-level loot, such as Supply Drops and Henchman Chests.
In Chests: The Mammoth Pistol can be found in both regular and supplied chests. Again, it is more likely to spawn in chests of higher rank.
From Drones: Flying drones occasionally drop weapons, and the Mammoth Pistol is one of those weapons.
Vending Machines: Some vending machines sell pistols, and there's a chance one of them will sell a Mammoth pistol.
